Thank-You cards are handwritten notes from both of the newlyweds that thank the guests for their gift and/or their presence at the wedding and reception. A traditional card either says thank you on the outside or it has your married monograms on the cover along with your new address stenciled into the card.
To make your thank you cards more unique and personal, create picture cards or a postcard that has your wedding photo or a photo of all the guests at the ceremony on the front. This will remind the guests of your wonderful wedding and make them feel like they were an important part of it. They will greatly appreciate the thank you and be happy for your new life together with your new spouse.
These cards should be ordered with your invitations so you have them ready for when you need to write them out and send them. For gifts you receive on the day of the wedding, the thank-you should be sent no later than one month after your honeymoon to show your appreciation. If you received gifts before the wedding day, then the thank you cards should be sent immediately upon your return from your honeymoon.
