Reply cards are ordered with your invitations so they are easy to remember. Also, they are mailed with your invitations and they are sent along with a self addressed stamped envelope to give your guests added convenience. One type of card is the traditional reply card which simply asks the guest to check a box that signifies how many people from that address will be attending the wedding. It is very important not to forget a return date on the reply card so guests know when they need to be mailed back.
However, many people give more options on the reply cards for a variety of reasons. Some couples decide that they will put menu options on the reply cards because so many people have dietary concerns. This also allows the caterer to prepare a certain number of vegetarian or specific dishes so your guests can be completely satisfied. Other times, the reply card may have a list of activities, such as golf outings or tennis tournaments, that the guests can check to inform the couple that they want to participate in these activities while in town for the wedding.
