Before you sign anything, you need to go over the details to ensure that you are getting exactly what you want and expect. Since many large photography studios have multiple photographers on staff, you need to make sure that the one you have interviewed and have gotten to know will be the same one who works at your wedding. Every professional photographer has a different style, technique and personality so you want to be sure that the one who seemed perfect for your wedding will be the one who arrives.
Another detail you need to check up on is who will shoot the pictures if there is an emergency or illness with your original selection. Since everything cannot be accounted for, you want to be sure you know who is your photographer’s replacement in case anything out of the ordinary arises. Also, find out if the photographer will have any assistants and if so, how many so you know who will be present and if you will be working with other individuals. Inquire how the photographer and the assistants will be dressed and perhaps let them know the level of formality of your wedding and the reception.
