Menu cards are becoming increasingly popular, much to the thankfulness of the guests. It is difficult to get the guests excited about a meal that you have spent hours planning and plenty of money on when they have no idea what they are eating. These cards are a necessary addition to the reception because they tell the guests what meal they are sitting down to so they can look forward to the delectable meal.
These single cards are written or engraved on heavy cotton stock in the shape of rectangle and they contain all the elements of the meal, including the various wine and beverage options. If you have specific reasons for selecting a particular dish, then you can explain the cultural or personal significance on the menu card. However, if you want to list the different drink options (such as the 3 different margaritas or martinis available to guests), then stand these drink cards at the bar.
If you are going to have menu cards or drink cards at your wedding, they do not have to be ordered with the invitations but order them at least six weeks before the wedding date.
